A MAP Parent Toolkit is available to help assist the parents in understanding the child’s MAP data. The document also provides the parent with information how to help the child move to the next level.
MKAS2 3rd Grade Reading Summative Assessment
The Literacy-Based Promotion Act requires 3rd grade students to take the MKAS2 3rd Grade Reading Summative Assessment to ensure they are reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade. The 3rd Grade Summative Assessment is a multiple-choice test that will be given online via a computer or tablet in your child’s school. All 3rd grade public school students are required to take this assessment.
The assessment covers the Mississippi College- and Career-Ready Standards of reading for foundational skills, informational text, literature, and language.
This test is scheduled for the spring semester, and it consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
