GRADING SCALE

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District employs a modified 10-point grading system for grades 2-12 and a standards based report card for grades k-1.  Please refer to the Student Handbook for the District’s comprehensive grading policy.

MKAS2 3rd GRADE READING SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT

The Literacy-Based Promotion Act requires 3rd grade students to take the MKAS2 3rd Grade Reading Summative Assessment to ensure they are reading at grade level by the end of 3rd grade. The 3rd Grade Summative Assessment is a multiple-choice test that will be given online via a computer or tablet in your child’s school. All 3rd grade public school students are required to take this assessment.

The assessment covers the Mississippi College- and Career-Ready Standards of reading for foundational skills, informational text, literature, and language.

This test is scheduled for the spring semester, and it  consists of 50 multiple choice questions.
