How We Communicate

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District Communications Office employs several means of disseminating information to our students, parents and community stakeholders. We hope you’ll connect with SOCSD through these channels:

THE SPARK EMAIL NEWSLETTER

SPARK_headerA weekly e-newsletter, The Starkville Spark, is distributed to district employees, to parents, elected officials, faith leaders, business leaders, realtors, volunteers and anyone who requests it. A re-invention of the original Key Communication Network, the “Spark” is one component of the district’s branding campaign instituted in 2013 as part of our strategic plan. Our aim with each issue is to spark your interest in the excellence happening every day in our classrooms, through our clubs and on our playing fields.

In 2013, SOCSD also launched a strong social media presence on Facebook and Twitter to serve as additional communication tools and resources for parents, students, media, and the community. Through daily posts, the communications office shares news, announcements and the “spark” happening throughout the district each week.

In addition, Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District maintains a YouTube channel containing video glimpses of student activities and promotional marketing pieces.

We invite you to click the boxes above to connect with our social media accounts.
