In an effort to ease traffic flow during Starkville road construction, SOCSD will return to providing TWO optional morning carpool shuttles beginning Thursday, July 30. A SOCSD shuttle will run from Bridgeway Church (located at 405 North Jackson Street) to Henderson Ward Stewart. A second SOCSD shuttle will run from Yellow Jacket Stadium on the Starkville High School campus to Sudduth Elementary and Henderson Ward Stewart. Please see important information below and instructions for drop-off at each location. Shuttle maps for each location are shown below and attached.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Shuttle time: 7:00am until 7:30am
- The temporary shuttle is optional
- No shuttle transportation will be provided after 7:30am
- For the safety of students, please do not pass cars while in line
- We ask that parents please use caution and drive slowly at each shuttle location.
- Buses will make ONE run to schools. Seats are available on a first come, first ride basis. Buses that are full prior to 7:30am will leave early to transport to campuses.
- Students arriving at the shuttle location after 7:30am OR after a full bus has already left for campus must be transported by parents to their schools.
- Shuttles will not be provided for afternoon carpool.
BRIDGEWAY SHUTTLE:

Parents should enter the Bridgeway parking lot from Jackson Street to the north of the main sanctuary. Buses will be parked in the gray gravel lot behind the church. Cars may pull forward through the parking lot onto the gravel and to the right side of the bus. Students may exit from the DRIVER'S side of your vehicle and enter the school bus. Please pull all the way forward to the first available bus. Students should not exit cars until you are adjacent to the school bus door. Cars should exit right onto Shepard Street and Park Street to return to Jackson Street.
STADIUM SHUTTLE:

Parents should enter the Starkville High School campus from Lynn Lane ONLY onto Victory Lane/Eckford Drive located between the MSU Extension office and New Horizons Church. Buses will be parked in parking spaces on west side of Victory Lane across from the stadium visitors stands. Cars may pull forward on Victory Lane and should not turn into the parking lot. Students may exit from the DRIVER'S side of your car and enter their school bus designated for Sudduth or Henderson Ward Stewart. Cars may exit campus by turning left at the first campus stop sign to access Louisville Street via the Millsaps parking lot OR by continuing on Victory Lane to Yellow Jacket Drive.
