SeedsWelcome to the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District, where we strive to achieve excellence by facilitating the discovery and development of each student’s passion, purpose, and potential.

Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District (SOCSD) is located in Starkville, MS, and provides academic instruction, rigor and support each school day to more than 5,100 students in kindergarten through 12th grade in seven schools. SOCSD believes setting high standards for all students creates a greater opportunity for future success – in our communities, within the region and across our diverse and global society. Each day, SOCSD students are prepared to be leaders in a technologically savvy and globally competitive world.

SOCSD is proud of its diverse population of students who represent several different countries and various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. SOCSD offers an extensive range of academic, artistic, athletic, and extra-curricular programs in its schools to nurture the talents, interests and abilities of our students. SOCSD also has the resources and expertise to identify the strengths and unique needs of each student while providing a learning environment that is challenging, enriching and supportive.

SOCSD is one of the largest employers in Starkville with more than 500 teachers, support staff and administrators. SOSD is fortunate to have tremendous support from Mississippi State University and Starkville’s corporate, faith and business communities that provide mentors and volunteers to support learning and instruction in SOCSD classrooms.
