Returning Student Registration Opens April 7, 2022; Create Your PowerSchool Parent Portal

The Starkville Oktibbeha School District has announced returning student registration for the 2022-23 school year opens April 7.  All students who will be returning to school in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District for the 2022-23 school year must register online.

Students who are currently enrolled in PreK at Sudduth and West Elementary Schools are considered returning students for the 2022-23 school year.

To complete registration, your PowerSchool Parent Portal must be created.  From your Parent Portal, click on the returning student registration tab.

PowerSchool for Parents

Residency Verification

Residency verification for all returning students is required for the 2022-2023 school year. 

Proofs of residency must be current and must have the same address as the one listed on the registration document.  Parents/guardians must provide the Starkville Oktibbeha School District with a minimum of one document from each group as verification of address.

Group 1

  • Mortgage Statement
  • Property Tax Deed
  • Filed Homestead Exemption Application
  • Apartment or Home Lease
  • Filed Property or Warranty Deed

Group 2

  • Utility Bill
  • Water Bill
  • Electric Bill
  • Gas Bill
  • Cable Bill
  • Garbage Bill
  •  Driver's License or State Issued Identification Card
  • Certified copy of filed petition for guardianship/final guardianship decree

If utilities are included in the Apartment or Home Lease, please use one of the following documents for the second proof of residency:

  • Doctor, dentist or hospital bill (mailed to address)
  • Credit card statement
  • Insurance policy (Health)
  • State or federal benefit check
  • Salary check stub
  • Government mailing (Social Security or Medicaid Determination letter, IRS, etc.)
  • Bank Statement
  • Driver’s License or State Issued Identification Card 

District administration may approve other documentation that will objectively verify residency ONLY in circumstances that building level administrators deem extenuating circumstances.

AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION AND VOTER PRECINCT IDENTIFICATION ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE PROOFS OF RESIDENCY. 

Immunization 

If your child is entering 7th grade, an updated immunization form is required.
