Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will celebrate our 2025 Homecoming Week during October 20-24. The week will include selected district-wide and community activities, and we are excited to enjoy the black and gold spirit together.
In response to recent events around the state, SOCSD has reviewed safety and security measures out of an abundance of caution. Please be aware that the district will enforce all security protocols at campus venues and will also provide added security for public events. HOMECOMING FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Monday, October 20
7:00pm - 8:30pm
Starkville High School Gym
Jacket families of all ages are invited to join us for a showing of Lego Batman! Admission is free, and light snacks will be available on a first come, first served basis.
- Please prepare for security screenings upon entry, and we will observe our clear bag policy.
- All students 8th grade and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult. All other students must present a valid Drivers License or valid Starkville High School student ID to gain entry.
- Additional security will be in place to ensure there is no loitering in parking lots on campus.
HOMECOMING PARADE
Thursday, October 23
6:00pm
Jacket families and the public are invited to join us for the annual Homecoming Parade. Because of downtown road construction, this year's parade route will be located along Yellow Jacket Drive and Victory Lane. There will be no Pep Rally following this year's parade. Please see the map below for important information about the route.
PARKING
- Parade parking on campus will begin at 4:30pm. No vehicles will be allowed to enter campus after 5:45pm.
- Parking is available in grass lots and stadium parking along Victory Lane.
- Parking in the lot adjacent to the White House is reserved for parade participants and parade lineup.
TRAFFIC ROUTES
- East bound access to Yellow Jacket Drive from Louisville Street will close at 5:00pm.
- Millsaps entrance to campus will be closed at 4:30pm.
- Lynn Lane entrance to campus will be closed at 5:45pm.
- The intersection of Yellow Jacket Drive and Victory Lane will be closed at 5:45pm.
PARADE ROUTE
- The parade will begin in the south lane of the White House parking lot and travel east on Yellow Jacket Drive and south on Victory Lane. Floats and band participants will exit the parade route across the Millsaps bridge. All other parade participants will exit campus via Lynn Lane.
- Visitors should line Victory Lane to view the Homecoming Parade.
- Jacket Security officers as well as local law enforcement will be on campus and at intersections to direct traffic and monitor the parade route.
- Vehicle access to campus will close at 5:45pm, and the Parade will begin at 6:00pm.
HOMECOMING GAME AND COURT PRESENTATION
Friday, October 24
Halftime of the SHS vs Murrah football game
The 2025 Starkville High School Homecoming Court will be presented at halftime of the SHS vs Murrah High School football game. Kickoff is at 7:00pm and tickets are available via GoFan.co.
- SOCSD will host faculty & family-only tailgating in the north endzone on October 24. Wristbands are required for entry, and faculty should enter in the side gate adjacent to the main home entrance. All attendees will be screened by security and tailgating supplies searched.
- Please arrive early and expect longer lines when entering the game. ALL fans will pass through our security screeners and a clear bag policy will be enforced.
- No loitering will be permitted outside the main or visitors gates.
- Students will be allowed admittance without a parent or guardian if they present an e-ticket or pass AND a valid 2025-2026 Starkville High School Student ID or a valid driver's license.
- All other student ticket holders must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to enter the game and must be supervised by a parent or guardian while attending.
- Younger students will not be admitted if they are accompanied only by older high school siblings.
- No admittance to the game will be allowed after the end of the 3rd quarter.

DON'T FORGET: Monday, October 20 is Parent Conference Day, and students will not report to school.
