Reading 2 Succeed Summer Program; Free books for students

By Nicole Thomas

Encourage your child to read to succeed!

Reading 2 Succeed, a grant supported project of Family Centered Programs and Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District, will host a summer reading program during June and July.

There are two age groups, including k-3rd grades and 4-6th grades, with a maximum of 12 children per group. The program is completely free and the children who participate will be able to keep all of the books that are read and discussed during the summer.

The weekly meetings will be held at the J.L. King center on Tuesdays from 1:30 – 2:30 pm. Please email Dr. Brandi Burton at bburton@starkville.k12.ms.us or stop by and sign up at the King Center if you would like for your child to participate.
