Tammie McGarr

Starkville Oktibbeha School District Chief Financial Officer Tammie McGarr was awarded the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO)2019 Distinguished Eagle Award.  McGarr is one of four finalists for the presitgious, international award which recognizes K-12 business professionals for their exemplary leadership and contributions to their districts and the school business profession.

A mentor to her colleagues around the state, McGarr is committed to ensuring she and her staff are always ahead of the latest school business issues.

As the recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Award, McGarr will receive a $2,500 college scholarship to present to a high school student from her district and will be formally recognized at ASBO International’s 2019 Annual Conference & Expo, October 25–28, in National Harbor, MD.
