SOCSD Virtual Summer Camps Create Excellent Learning Experiences

The Starkville Oktibbeha School District is hosting several virtual summer camp learning opportunities that combine hands-on experiences with critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and community. 

Dates and camps are list below.  
 

July 6-10 Makerspace Camp Rising 2-5th graders (25 participants)

July 13-15 3D Printing Camp Rising 3-5th  graders (10 participants)

July 15-17 3D Printing Camp Rising 6-8th graders (10 participants)

July 20-24th SparkART Rising 2-5th graders (25 participants)

July 20-24th Science/Space Camp Rising 5th graders (25 participants)

All camps, other than 3D Printing camp, will be virtual.  No transportation will be provided for 3D printing camp.  Camps are limited and participants will be selected on a “first come first serve basis”.  Each camp registration includes a $40.00 fee. 

Campers for virtual camps will receive a box of activities for the week.  The boxes will be ready for pick up the Friday before the camp is set to begin.  Students will have the ability to Zoom with teachers to talk about what they created and what they learned from the activities. 

Applications are due Friday, June 5.  If your child is enrolled to attend,  you will received an email about dropping the camp payment off at Central Office the week of June 8.
