The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for Oktibbeha County for Monday.
Due to expected winter weather conditions that include accumulations of up to two inches, all schools and offices in the SOCSD will be closed on Monday, January 11.
The safety of our students, faculty and staff is of utmost importance when considering whether to close our schools, and tomorrow's forecast could impact morning travel, including slippery sidewalks and bus stops.
I share this information with you tonight in an effort to allow time for you to make arrangements for your family if necesary.
We will resume classes and school operations on Tuesday, January 12.
