The Starkville Oktibbeha School District campuses will remain closed on Friday and continue distance learning.
The health, wellness and safety of our staff, students and families is our primary concern, and icy roads, sidewalks and bus stops present serious safety concerns for Friday.
Our maintenance team has begun working to address several weather-related issues inside our buildings as a result of the winter weather.
Administrative personnel and other certified staff should be accessible to work remotely and perform job responsibilities as needed.
Our technology team continues to manage our help desk during distance learning, and they may be reached at email@example.com.
Power outages overnight impacted many students, teachers and families, limiting real-time virtual instruction today. Principals and teachers at each school will address any virtual learning issues due to loss of power, connectivity, and other issues as neeeded.
Thank you for your efforts to provide excellent, engaging instruction to our students during distance learning. I appreciate your commitment to excellence every day.
We will resume our normal school schedule on Monday, Feb. 22.
Stay safe & stay warm!
Eddie Peasant, Supt.
