Administrative Changes Announced for 2021-22 School Year

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District Board of Trustees has approved two administrative changes for the 2021-2022 school year.

Overstreet Elementary School Principal Cynthia Milons is transferring to Graduation Coach at Starkville High School.  Partnership Middle School Principal Julie Kennedy is returning to Overstreet Elementary School as principal.

“Principals Kennedy and Milons are veteran educators with more than 30 years of experience between them,” said Supt. Eddie Peasant.  “I am grateful for their dedicated service to our school district and our greater school community.”

Kennedy previously served as fifth grade principal for four years before moving to Armstrong Middle School and then Partnership Middle School.  Milons taught English and served as a lead teacher at Starkville High School before becoming principal at Overstreet Elementary School.

The school board approved the changes during its March board meeting.

The principals will assume their new duties and responsibilities at their respective schools on July 1.

The district has already begun a search for a new principal to lead Partnership Middle School.
