Starkville Oktibbeha School District Director of Career and Technical Education Lenora Hogan has been named Mississippi Association of Career & Technical Education (ACTE) Administrator of the Year.
Dr. Hogan will represent Mississippi in the ACTE Region IV Administrator of the Year.
Dr. Hogan was named Director of Career & Technical Education in the Starkville Oktibbeha School District in 2016. Since that time, CTE has expanded from five courses to 13 programs of study including sports medicine, law & public safety, culinary arts, unmanned aviation, engineering, health science, construction, and dual enrollment in CSPIRE- Software Development. In Fall 2022, Starkville High School plans to add a dual enrollment course option for advanced manufacturing. The additional programs connect to 16 identified career pathways in the Academic Houses at Starkville High School that offer real world experiences to students through a college and career academy model of learning.
Dr. Hogan holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership, Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership, Master of Science in Elementary Education, Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University.
She has served on numerous advisory boards, including Mississippi Association of Secondary Career & Technical Administrators Board and Mississippi Department of Education Career and Technical Education Advisory Board.
She is a 2021 National Career Academy Coalition Career Academy Leaders Collaborative Fellow.
