Update #16 from Supt. Eddie Peasant: Staying Safe Together Requires All of Us

Update #16 from Supt. Eddie Peasant: Staying Safe Together Requires All of Us

Dear Jacket family,

Positivity rates for Covid-19 continue to spike in our state and our greater school community. This is concerning as we prepare for a week-long Thanksgiving break.

While our school district has been able to adjust for the most part when students and/or staff are quarantined or isolated due to Covid-19, our schools must be prepared to shift to virtual learning for all students if necessary.

As we have learned, a very small number of Covid-positive cases can have a significant impact on our schools' ability to operate a traditional school environment.

All of us must continue to be diligent in our efforts to reduce spread of Covid-19. This is especially important as families travel and gather for Thanksgiving.Pleasewear your masks, observe six feet of distance from others when possible, avoid large social gatherings and wash your hands regularly.

A safe return to school following Thanksgiving break is a responsibility that we all share, and it will require a commitment from all of us to do our part to keep each member of our Jacket family safe.

Sincerely,

Eddie Peasant

Supt.
