SCHOOLMESSENGER

Keeping parents informed is a top priority of the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District.   That’s why we have adopted SchoolMessenger as the District’s mass messaging system which allows us to send messages to parents regarding important information about school events or emergencies via email, text and phone calls.

SchoolMessenger is tied to PowerSchool, and distribution lists include parent contacts for each student submitted through the school registration process. Our Communications office and schools use SchoolMessenger to notify parents of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as for reminders about various events, including report card distribution, open house, field trips, and more.

The successful delivery of information is dependent upon accurate contact information for each student, so please make certain that we have your most current phone numbers and email addresses.  If this information changes during the year, please let us know immediately.

If you are a Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District parent and are not receiving messages from SchoolMessenger, please email SOSD Director of Communications, Haley Montgomery, at hmontgomery@starkvillesd.com and include your name, children’s names and grades, primary and secondary phone numbers and email address.
