SHS Baseball High School and Jr High Tryouts Announced for 2024-2025

Starkville High School Head Baseball Coach, Mark Monaghan, has scheduled both high school and junior high baseball tryouts for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. Please make note of the tryout schedule and guidelines below. Go Jackets!

HIGH SCHOOL TRYOUTS

MONDAY, MAY 20 (rising 9th-12th grade)
All Pitchers and Catchers only
4:15pm
Yellow Jacket Field

• Pitchers will throw a short bullpen
• Catchers will catch bullpens, showcasing receiving and blocking

TUESDAY, MAY 21 (rising 9th-12th grade)
All Position Players
4:15pm
Yellow Jacket Field

• Players will participate in a defensive and hitting evaluation

* A list of all participants who make the team will be posted the following morning (5/22) at www.starkvillebaseball.com

TRYOUT GUIDELINES:

• All participants MUST bring a current physical to tryout
• All participants MUST be enrolled in Starkville Oktibbeha School District
• All participants MUST bring their own equipment for tryouts
• All participants MUST bring thier own water/sports drink

JUNIOR HIGH TRYOUTS

THURSDAY, MAY 23 (rising 7th-8th grade)
All Pitchers and Catchers only
