All Pre-K thru 1st graders will receive a SOCSD ipad. All 2nd thru 12th graders will receive a chromebook.

Students in 8th grade and up will keep their devices over summer break. More information to come.
There will be “Jacket Techcellence” orientations that will help to ensure parents are educated for proper use of the device. This training will be provided in-person and online.
SOCSD students will need to bring their device to the district’s help desk during school hours.

Yes. Teachers will increasingly begin to use digital content for instruction and assignments.
SOCSD devices utilize the Umbrella filter software. Students will have the same filtering protection at home as they do at school.
