SUMMER 2026 ENRICHMENT CAMPS

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will offer a selection of Summer Enrichment Camps through our 21st Century grant program available to 2nd through 8th grade students. Camps should be selected for the grade your child has completed for the current 2025-2026 school year. Camps are available during the weeks of June 1-5 and June 8-12 at Partnership Middle School. There is no fee for the 2026 Summer Camps. Please browse the offerings below for grade level, dates, and description of each camp.

Registration for Summer 2026 Enrichment Camps will open on Wednesday, May 6 at 10 AM.

Lunch will be provided as part of our Summer Enrichment Camps. Parents are responsible for transportation TO camps each morning. Afternoon transportation is available if needed.

Careers in STEM (2nd-5th)

ABOUT: Campers will complete hands-on activities in multiple branches of science as they explore career paths in STEM. Activities are designed to inspire and educate students about careers they may not be familiar with.

Energy Camp (6th-8th)

ABOUT: In this camp, students will learn about nonrenewable and renewable energy sources, and the infrastructure used to keep facilities in operation. Campers will complete activities focused on the energy web, fossil fuel formation, wetland restoration, electrolysis, solar panels, and more!

Zoo Camp (2nd-4th)

ABOUT: Each activity in this camp focuses on a specific animal and allows campers to gain a greater understanding of Earth's ecosystems and how animals play a vital role in it. Hands-on activities will encourage critical thinking and collaboration while students learn about animal habitats and what is necessary for the animal's survival.

Famous Architecture Camp (5th)

ABOUT: In this camp, students will learn how ancient architectural breakthroughs led to design elements that we know today, and they will discover how those design elements evolved at the same time in different societies around the world.

Genetics Camp (6th-8th)

ABOUT: In this camp, students will explore the basics of inheritance, the coding of genes, and the impacts of mutations in DNA transcription. Hands-on activities will allow campers to construct their own strands of DNA and learn how traits are passed down through generations.
