Junior High Jacket Baseball Tryouts Announced

Jacket Junior High Baseball Tryouts

Interested 7th and 8th grade athletes are invited to participate in Jacket Baseball Tryouts for the Junior High team. Please see tryout details and information below.

Thursday, August 10th (7th - 8th grade)
Pitchers and Catchers only
Registration -- 4:15-4:45pm at Yellow Jacket Field
Tryouts immediately following

  • Pitchers will throw a short bullpen.
  • Catchers will catch bullpens, showcasing receiving & blocking.

Friday, August 11th (7th - 8th grade)
All Position players
Registration -- 4:15-4:45 at Yellowjacket Field
Tryouts immediately following

  • ​​Players will go through a defensive and hitting evaluation

**Final roster will be announced Friday night on starkvillebaseball.com

TRYOUT GUIDELINES:

  • ALL Participants MUST bring a CURRENT, UPDATED PHYSICAL (on paper or updated in Dragonfly) to try-out.
  • ALL Participants MUST be enrolled in Starkville Oktibbeha School District.
  • ALL Participants MUST bring their own equipment for tryouts.
  • ALL Participants MUST bring their own water/sports drink
