Two Starkville High Students Advance as National Merit Finalists

Starkville High School students Christian Dunne and Robert Snell have advanced to earn recognition as National Merit Finalists. Dunne and Snell are among 15,000 students to achieve Finalist standing their distinguished performance in the National Merit program.

Dunne and Snell were named National Merit Semifinalists in September for their scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

As Semifinalists, they were ranked among the highest scoring students in Mississippi on PSAT, scoringin the top one percent.

To qualify as Finalists, Dunne and Snell wrote essays and took the S A T and earned scores that confirm the PSAT/NMSQT performance that resulted in their selection as Semifinalists.
