SHS STUDENT PARKING

Student parking on the Starkville High School campus is a privilege and requires an approved application and purchase of parking decal. In addition, SHS Seniors may apply and submit a design to paint a designated parking space for the year. SENIOR PAINTED PARKING

Senior painted parking spots are reserved for seniors only. Because there are only 64 painted parking spots available, spots will be assigned through a raffle process.

Raffle Process

  • All seniors interested in obtaining a painted parking spot must be present in the SHS gym by 8:25 am.
  • Gym doors will open at 8:00 am.
  • At 8:30 am, the doors will close. No exceptions will be made.
  • As students enter the gym, they will receive a raffle ticket.
  • Only one raffle ticket per student or student’s designee.
  • Beginning at 8:30 am., school officials will randomly select tickets.
  • If your ticket is selected, you will be eligible to purchase a painted parking spot. Students cannot transfer his/her painted parking to another student.

Required Documents

Students (or their designee) must bring physical copies of the following:

  • Proof of car insurance
  • Driver’s license
  • Completed SHS parking form
  • $50.00 payment (credit card, check, or exact cash amount)

Students who do not have all required documents and payment at the time of selection will be ineligible to receive a painted parking spot. No exceptions will be made. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have a designee attend on my behalf?
Yes. A designee may attend; however, he/she must bring all required documents and payment. Only one raffle ticket per designee.

Can I get a physical copy of parking form? 
Yes. A physical copy of the parking form will be available in the front office of Starkville High School. Please be advised that all forms must be completed before the raffle process begins at 8:30am on July 20, 2026

If all 64 painted parking spots are assigned, can my child still receive a parking pass?
Yes. Students who do not receive a painted parking spot will still be eligible for a general parking pass and may park in the student-designated parking area.
