2023 State Championship Guide

Our Yellow Jackets are on the hunt for a repeat as Starkville High School heads to the 2023 MHSAA 7A State Championship on Saturday, December 2 in Oxford, MS! On the line is the first-ever 7A classification title! Check out this Championship Guide for all your black and gold need-to-know information.

MHSAA 7A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Date: Saturday, December 2
Kickoff: 7:00pm
Location: Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, University of Mississippi
The North Half champion Yellow Jackets will serve as the visiting team.

TEAM SEND-OFF

Fans are invited to line Victory Lane on the Starkville High campus beginning at 12:00pm on Saturday to cheer the team as they depart. Expected departure is 12:30pm.

TICKETS

Tickets may be purchased online at gofan.co or at the stadium Gate 22 by CASH ONLY. Tickets purchased through GoFan in advance or at the gate are $15 each for an all-day pass, allowing admission for all games on December 2. Tickets are one-entry. Visitors who leave the stadium will require a new ticket to re-enter. 

Ticket-holders who purchase advance digital tickets through GoFan will enter the stadium at Gate 20. Tickets are general admission and no reserved seating will be available. A ticket is required for all ages.

FAN GUIDELINES

  • No cameras or videotaping equipment will be allowed in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Air horns, bullhorns, sirens, vuvuzela horns are not allowed at MHSAA outdoor events. Cannons, umbrellas, propane gas heaters, ice chests, alcohol, tobacco, confetti or baby powder are not allowed in the stadium.
  • A clear bag policy (shown below) is enforced at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

PARKING MAP

Please note the following University of Mississippi campus map for acceptable parking locations for fans visiting during the MHSAA State Championship weekend. Please note that the Ole Miss South Lot is reserved for MHSAA Football Fan parking during Championship weekend, and is the only available parking option for fans who arrive prior to 5:00pm. Additional parking areas are indicated on the map for fans who arrive to campus after 5:00pm. Please be aware that there will be an Ole Miss home basketball game on Saturday beginning at 1:00pm.

For fans needing ADA assistance, a shuttle service to the stadium from the South Lot will be available beginning at 11:00am until one hour after the conclusion of the Starkville game on Saturday.
