21st CENTURY MEDIA CENTERS & LIBRARIES

Through the work of the Discovery Center, Starkville Oktibbeha School District houses eight library/media centers.  These areas are used not only to foster a love for reading, but to encourage 21st CENTURY Learning Skills such as collaboration, research, and innovation.  These spaces are filled with flexible seating, technology, and innovative materials that allow students to explore multiple learning avenues.  We also have incorporated Makerspace activities into these areas.  The SOCSD Media Centers are functional, inviting, and modern.  The goal of a fully functioning 21st Century Media Center is to serve as the hub of the school and that is what we strive for as well.  Visit our school libraries at the links below.
